“Make and Take Anytime” project – Pocket Hugs!
These Pocket Hugs make great gifts for someone special! Come down to the shop and pick out one or two, color/paint them and use glue dots to add them to the cute cards. The card says, “Hold this tight and know I care, even when I can’t be there”.
Price is $3 per Pocket Hug, or 4 for $10.

Come make a Fall Pumpkin Barn Quilt. This is such a fun take on a barn quilt, and it can be displayed in your living room (instead of the side of your house or barn!) This event is 2 hours long because of the amount of time you might need to paint all the pieces of the quilt. If you can, feel free to plan for extra time. The colors shown are just an example – we’ll have a variety of paint colors available for you to use! The size of the backing is 10 by 10 inches.
I feel like I just made the schedule for July, and here it is, time for the August schedule! Because August is crazy busy with end of summer & beginning of school activities, we have just a couple scheduled events for the month.
CRAFT/PAINT PARTIES and OTHER EVENTS:
The Craft/Paint parties will be just like July – come join me in the shop and purchase any in-stock kit and craft… or bring your own project if you’d rather! These scheduled dates are Tuesday the 6th at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday the 10th at 10:30 a.m.
We’ll also be at the Back to School night at East Hill park on Thursday the 15th. Come get a FREE “Back to School pocket hug“, and check out some of our crafty kits and get info about what we offer in the shop!
We can’t wait to welcome the YU freshman on Tuesday the 19th for Panther Prowl. It’s always so much fun meeting the new arrivals to town.
And finally, we’ll be closed August 29 and 30th, so we can set up a booth at the State Fair in Grand Island!!

MORE WOOD EMBROIDERY
Blessed Beyond Measure is our newest MINI Wood Embroidery Kit. It’s a 3.5 x 3.5 square, with super easy embroidery stitches, and is available in birch or white wood. You can order the kit online here or pick one up in the shop next week at the Craft/Paint party!

As many of you know, I will be having open heart surgery in May to repair a birth defect that didn’t get fixed during my first surgery 45 years ago.
We’re expecting Allan and I will have at least one month with no income as I recover, while having additional costs with the surgery and week long hospital stay in Omaha, and medical bills.
While I’m waiting for surgery, I’m not supposed to be working too hard, but thankfully designing is not too strenuous. And so…I’ve been designing! I’m excited to debut “The Heart Collection” (see what I did there?), with Prayer/Gratitude Journals, vinyl stickers, wood signs. Still in design mode are encouragement cards.

This collection is something I’ve been brainstorming and thinking about for months, and finally getting to design the new products over the last few weeks has been so fun AND therapeutic.
“The Heart Collection” is the first of at least three new series of products I’ll be releasing in 2023, and every sale will help with my Heart Surgery fund. If you can help by sharing my Facebook page, Instagram, and sales pages, I would appreciate it more than I can say. My hope is that these products can be used to encourage others and bring glory to God, while also helping us get through what’s coming!
